These little Freestyle libre sensor protectors have been so useful in our house. Our little 7 year old has gotten so much more confidence wearing his sleeves in particular scenarios whilst giving him a layer of further breathable protection. This lace sleeve is the one I use myself everyday. I wear them like part of my underwear, having one clean and refreshed every day to settle the lace back in shape. These take away a little of the negative feelings about wearing a visible medical device.
They give a snug non sticky support for the sensor to remain in position.
The sleeves are made from a 6″ (15cm deep) stretch lace. They are more delicate than the lycra sleeves but give you something pretty and less opaque to protect your sensor with. Washing these is simply a rinse in the sink with a mild detergent, gently pat excess moisture and air dry.
Further technology is emerging that will scan the Freestyle Libre Sensor and requires a snug cover to hold them in place. These sleeves will provide that cover in a way that is breathable and comfortable.
